Launching the KKOOM U.S. College Scholarship Program

As KKOOM is celebrating 17 years of impact, we are excited to announce we are officially launching a new scholarship program, here in the United States!

The KKOOM U.S. College Scholarship Program will allow us to provide more opportunities for young adults who age out of Korea's social welfare system to come to the United States to further their education. The first beneficiary of the U.S. College Scholarship Program will be TaeHyeon, a transfer student who is majoring in Finance at a college in New York. TaeHyeon has grown up at a KKOOM-supported children's home and he wouldn't be where he is today without the amazing support from organizations like KKOOM who have helped him along the way. As TaeHyeon has just started his studies in the United States this fall, we hope to provide him the financial support he needs to be successful academically.

The goal is to raise $10,000 to initially launch the scholarship program. Thank you to an anonymous donor for matching the first $5,000 raised. Creating this scholarship program allows us to be more intentional with mentoring and supporting the young adults as they age out at 18-years-old. Thank you for helping us make a difference in TaeHyeon's life and other scholars in the future!
